"Necessity is the mother of invention."

It’s embarrassing to admit that I used to roll my eyes at LMTs complaining about burnout. I used to think that there was a simple solution to being a happy massage therapist. In fact, I created a whole workshop around ways to avoid burnout. With some simple changes, its possible to thrive as a massage therapist.

Here's my check list…

• Love the modalities you are practicing
• Get generously paid for your time
• Love the environment you're working in
• Love the clients you work with
• Live a healthy lifestyle
• Keep learning new ways to practice so you don't get bored
• Maintain professional boundaries and policies
• Work ideal hours that allow for some personal time

Even though I felt I had mastered these bullet points, I noticed a pattern that my life followed. I worked and recovered from working. That was it. Work. Recover. Work. Recover.

And yet, I still have the heart to stay in this field. So I started to change things up. Like the proverb says, “necessity is the mother of invention.” 

Fortunately, I discovered frequency therapies were the perfect solution for my practice.
